I expected Anal Nosorog to be grindcore in the vein of Napalm Death or Nasum but the Russians are definitely not. Actually referring to the music as grindcore is in a way wrong.

The music is more a mixture of hardcore and punk with frog-like growls. I'm aware that that both hardcore and punk are often closely tied together with grindcore, but Anal Nosorog totally lack the brutality and strength that is the epitome of grindcore.

The music is mostly mid-tempo orientated and that totally kill the already boring tracks. The band tries to add some humour and be funny, but it doesn't work at all.

To make an already terrible effort even worse Anal Nosorog blend in some electronic samples along the way and that just doesn't work very well. If you like music that is bizarre then Condom of Hate may be worth a closer look, but you just like favour the more conventional kind of grindcore then I'd avoid Anal Nosorog at any cost.
