This is the re-release of Wall of World is Words which was originally put out on Farewell Records in 2000. I'm not sure if this re-release differs from the original, but anyways these Japanese grindcore wackos play some brutal, but catchy grindcore. There's a couple of cover-songs on the album [E.N.T., Scum and Holy Moses] and Bathtub Shitter does a decent job with those. The band's own songs work out pretty well too particularly the titletrack "Wall of World is Words" struck me as being the most worthwhile. The production is really massive and does at times border becoming muddy, but fortunately it doesn't affect the music that much.
What I dislike about this MCD is the high-pitched screams that is to be found in most of the songs, sure they do provide a nice contrast to the guttural growls but honestly it just get a little too much in the long run. A cool think about the CD is that the band occasionally uses acoustic guitars. It adds a bit of diversity in between all the sonic butchery. I found the last song "My Last Word" quite hilarious because of the combination of growls and acoustic guitars. It's not everyday you hear something like that. All in all Wall of World is Words is a neat little thing that is worth a check.
