BEYOND TERROR BEYOND GRACE - Still Human, Still Humane?
Released: 2005 | Label: Grindhead | Rating: 6/10 | Reviewer: PSL | Provided by: Grindhead

01. Murderer
02. Who Must Die
03. Living a Lie
04. No Further Existence

Formed in August 2004 Australian Beyond Terror Beyond Grace started out doing Napalm Death and Discharge covers, but the band quickly began writing some original material. The music is a hybrid of grindcore and death metal. It's a little hard to proper judge the music based on the little more than nine minutes Still Human, Still Humane? lasts, but all four songs are fairly good. In particular "Murderer" and "Living a Lie" is worthwhile.

The band knows how to vary the music so it doesn't tend to get boring. There's nothing new under the sun here, but the band have some good ideas which plenty make up for this. It would be interesting to hear what Beyond Terror Beyond Grace sound like with a better sound as Still Human, Still Humane? appear slightly blurry, but it's actually not that odd since it's their 2005 demo that has been re-released. But all in all not a bad debut EP which promise well for what to come.
