At first I mistook Bile for the American industrial band, but this is certainly not the case. The Dutchmen play filthy downtuned death metal with ultra low guttural growls. The music is comparable to Mortician, but Bile is not as monotone as the aforementioned. Still they rely on some of the same things such as the horror themes and the ultra low vocals and the guitar sound. Musically there's nothing new and unheard here, but still Camp Blood is a fairly interesting effort. The music has a fair sheer of groove and the songs don't just seem as one undistinguishable blur. It's nice to hear that Bile doesn't just blast ahead the entire album, actually the velocity is kept relevantly down most of the album and it suits the music well as the blastbeat outbursts sound even more intense.

Lyrically Camp Blood is build around the classic Friday the 13th movies. This makes it even more entertaining and the samples used add a lot to the feel of the album. The sound is dirty, but also somewhat muddy. Clearly the Bile's main objective has been to sound as heavy as they could. The music is kept somewhat simple so the mucky production doesn't really spoil anything, on the contrary as it makes the music even more brutal. I found Camp Blood to be fairly good despite of a few flaws, but it's small things that doesn't mess up anything.
