Holy shit, usually I'm not very fond of grindcore; mainly because it often tends to sound monotone and therefore quickly becomes boring but once in a while something interesting comes along and sparks the interest once again, and this is exactly what the crazy Aussies known as Blood Duster have done with their new album simply entitled Blood Duster.

Blood Duster really manage to set them self apart from most of the grindcore bands out there by dividing the album up almost equally between rock n' roll and grindcore which works out surprisingly well, and I swear I even hear some Judas Priest and Black Sabbath in "Sellout" and "Bad Habbits". Furthermore, they've incorporated some freaking funny and perhaps to some people very immature samples but who the hell cares it works really well with their sick porn lyrics. They've even included a very cool three-minute acoustic piece called "NuCorprate" which has a few not-so-nice things to say about nu-metal and Fred Durst. The production is fairly good; it sounds very raw and brutal but still in a way so that you can hear what's going on.

Blood Duster is a VERY varied and CRAZY album that certainly not appeals to everyone, but if you have a sense of humour and is looking for something way out of the ordinary then Blood Duster is a very cool investment.
