After having put out various EP's and split releases the German grinders Bloodred Bacteria are now ready with their first full-length release Kiss the Goat. Kiss the Goat is not made up of new material as it consists of all the tracks that the Germans have written and released in the period 2000 to 2006. But it's not just another compilation as all the songs have been rerecorded.

Musically Bloodred Bacteria isn't different from so much else. It's obvious that Napalm Death is a band that the quartet must have been listening a lot to, but the German blend quite a bit of hardcore in the music as well. Most of the songs are short and direct. This is also where the band sounds the best. This becomes very apparent after having listened to the nine minute track "Anarchy, Piss and Wet Dreams". That song doesn't turn out very well. The intensity is not there and the song is too much recycling.

The Germans may not contribute with anything untried, but the music itself is mostly convincing. What spoil the impression are the monotone vocals. There's no variation whatsoever in those and it put a rather negative stamp on the overall impression of Kiss the Goat hence the mediocre grading.
