BOREA - Whose Fault

Borea was a Polish four-piece. The band put out a few demos in 1991 and 1992, and the debut Whose Fault in 1993 before four-piece disbanded. The music that the band played was a mixture of death and thrash metal. It seems that Slayer was a major inspiration, but the band obviously also idolized other bands as well.

The 2009 compilation Whose Fault is obviously made up by the 1993 album as well as various demo tracks. The biggest problem with the compilation is the shitty sound. It's a common issue on all the songs and it totally spoils the experience.

The music itself isn't bad, but the crappy sound doesn't profit the music at all. It makes it impossible to listen to. It feels like the songs haven't been cleaned up and remixed and remastered for the compilation. It's a shame as I'm sure the music itself isn't bad at all.

I guess you have to be a big Borea fan to appreciate Whose Fault. If you have it just like me and don't know who Borea was then I'd spend my money on something else as there are little of interest to find here.
