This is brutal, really brutal. At first I didn't really like it that much mainly because of the vacuumcleaner-like vocals but after a few spins things fell into place and I must admit that the vocals actually fit the music despite of their somewhat monotone savagery. The guitar sounds somewhat thin even though it still has that buzzsaw feel to it, however it's not as juicy and thick as with most other death metal bands but in a way that's an asset to the music because it makes it a little easier to hear what's going on. The drums are of course one long furious bombardment of blastbeats and frantic pounding but oddly enough it never gets too much. The chunky bass riffs add even more flavour to the soundscape and thereby prolonging the durability significantly.
While Methods of Execution may not contribute with anything unheard it sure does offer a flood of savage and relentlessly brutal death metal and that's fine with me. A minor thing that is a little annoying is the titletrack which is mostly made up of odd samples but fortunately the skip-button has been invented so it's really nothing the deprives the album of anything.
