Can't say I've heard of Caedere before, but the Dutchmen have previously released a CD via Goregiastic Records. The unit however is currently looking for a new deal thus this promo. The music is brutal and tightly played death metal. There's nothing unheard in the music and sometimes it reminds me a bit of defunct Danish death metallers Iniquity. This is perhaps mostly due to the low growls, but the music itself also has a few references to the aforementioned as well as Cannibal Corpse. New-thinking or not, it doesn't make the music less good and it's apparent that Caedere is a well-oiled machine.

The songs are detailed and it's clear that the unit know how to write enjoyable music. The Dutchmen are very good at varying the music although a lot of the time the band relies on the slower and heavy parts. It really suits the music that it's not just a long blast contest. Another thing is the sound. This is how death metal should be presented - with a fat and full production. It really adds that something extra that makes you want to turn up the volume. I'm sure Caedere eventually will ink another deal as this is just too good to be ignored.
