Grindcore lunatics Catheter are ready with their sophomore album Dimension 303. I can't say I've ever heard of the band before so it's impossible for me to compare it to their previous effort Preamble to Oblivion. Style wise the band play some energetic and catchy grindcore comparable to Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer and Nasum. The songs are mostly superfast, but still quite varied. Of course Dimension 303 is stuffed with all the familiar and obligatory elements found in this subgenre, but the hardcore references do appear a bit more apparent than usual once in a while. Examples of this include "Sit on This" and "Overkill".

Occasionally the pace is lowered like in for instance "Miserable Existence" and "Executioner" and it really suits the music as it never appears to get strenuous or same-sounding. The production goes well with the music. It keeps a perfect balance between being filthy, juicy and still maintaining enough clarity so nothing seems to vanish in the soundscape. Sure Dimension 303 may not differ from so much else in this genre, but I found it to be an enjoyable effort that easily can stand lots of listens without getting tiresome. Dimension 303 is all in all a very good album that is worth a purchase if you're into some diverse and catchy grindcore.
