I was browsing the internet to dig up some info on this band and it turns out that there are quite a few bands on MySpace using the name Demogorgon. This Polish/American outfit plays death metal that easily sound like a blend between Vader and Deicide. It's very clear that Demogorgon is not putting that much effort into sounding any differently from what else is out there, but the band do understand to vary what they are doing. The songs aren't too long and there's a fine balance between the brutal and the more mid-tempo orientated, but their hard efforts tend to fall somewhat short.

The reason is that's simply not a great deal to remember in the music and that makes Christ is a Lie an average experience. The dry production is not something that benefit the music much either. The chunky bass is way too much up front and tend to steal focus from the guitars. It seems far more suiting for a Cannibal Corpse type of band than it does for Demogorgon. Overall Christ is a Lie is an okay release, but unfortunately it's not an effort that leaves a lasting impression.
