FETUS IN FETU - Abnormal Disfigurement
GENRE: Death metal COUNTRY: Denmark FORMAT: CD LABEL: Casket Records YEAR: May 30th, 2011 RATING: 8/10 REVIEWED BY: Kate PROVIDED BY: Revolution-inc.dk Hailing from Denmark Fetus In Fetu has taken death metal up a notch with a much more aggressive approach towards their music. Having the lineup that they do seem to be really working for them, everything meshes together with ferocity. Michaels's vocals gel perfectly with the music and everyone seems to be in sync with each other at all times. Astor Pallson is killer on guitar as you can hear on tracks such as "Sacrifice, the Flesh" with a crushing riff and dark rhythm from Johnni Knudsen. "Bring Your Slasherhook" is haunting and morbid with an intro from the horror movie "Candyman", one of my personal favorites, and quickly gives away to crushing vocals and just an onslaught of brutal drumwork. This an awesome debut album with an intensity behind that hasn't been heard in a long time, there is nothing but aggression from beginning to end that's combined with skill and a passion for this music. I encourage everyone to check out Abnormal Disfigurement as soon as it comes out on May 30th! |
