Flagellation feature people from Loch Vostok and Insision among other. It does reflect on the music that Flagellation is a band made up by people playing various styles of metal. The music on Incinerate Disintegrate however is above all death metal, but with many different inputs. There's a bit of thrash and power metal showing now and then.

A lot of this comes to show in the keyboard and the clean vocals that occasionally appear. Teddy Möller's clean vocals on "Purified by Fire" and "Incinerate Disintegrate" work very well and create some additional variety. The keyboard is widely used, but not in a way where it seems to become too much. Actually the keyboard sometimes reminds a bit of Nocturnus. An example of this is "Threshold to Madness".

The song-writing is competent and it's obvious that Flagellation are no newcomers to writing music. There's a lot going on in the songs and the six-piece know how to make the songs diverse and interesting.

However it's not like the Swedes try a whole lot that hasn't already been done one way or the other, but the band does succeed in taking all their different inputs and blend it into something that doesn't sound typical Swedish, as well as adding their own touch to the music.
