Do you know the B-movie Bad Taste? If so then you should have no problem understanding the lyrical concept on Brazilian splatter band Flesh Grinder's latest effort Crumb's Crunchy Delights Organization. I'm not familiar with the trio's past works, but the music on Crumb's Crunchy Delights Organization is gory death metal with some references to early Carcass. The music is primitive with a loose and almost punk-like vibe to it at times. The songs are fast, but with plenty of mid-tempo sections to vary. The bass is audible and that add both to the punk vibe and to the diversity of the music.

Right away the music appears like just another standard effort. There is nothing inventive about Flesh Grinder's music, but it works. The music is actually very B-movie like - it's not clumsy, but not pretty either and like many B-movies it has a certain charm that makes you like the music the more you explore it. The CD is of course packed with samples from Bad Taste and these kind of bind it all together, but it also emphasize the primitive in the music. The production is dirty and raw. It fits the B-movie type of feel that Crumb's Crunchy Delights Organization has. Crumb's Crunchy Delights Organization is no magnum opus, but it's an effort that has enough gist and gore to be entertaining.
