The Polish death metal underground has been the breeding ground for such renowned bands as Vader, Behemoth, Decapitated, Sceptic, Lost Soul and Yattering to only name a few. And now long running death metallers Hate is back with their fourth album Awakening of the Liar, an album that stay true to the distinct Polish sound that most of us have come to enjoy quite a bit.

Music and sound-wise Hate lies fairly close to other Polish bands such as Vader, Lost Soul and Behemoth so of course their music is not that original. But their music is very energetic and diverse which obviously helps making up for the lack of originality. There's really nothing negative to say about Awakening of the Liar 'cause the musicianship is top notch and the compositions are equally skilful put together. The only minus about the record is the length which is only a little over thirty minutes but that's only a minor detail that in no way take anything from this album.

So if you're a fan of Polish death metal or just old school death metal in general then you definitely won't want to miss out on Awakening of the Liar 'cause this release spells quality with capital letters.
