Right from the start I had the feeling that Ore Veritatis would be bland, and I was right. The music is standard and full of clichés. That of course does not automatically make the music bad, but Ore Veritatis is anything, but exciting. There are bits and pieces that are good, but overall the music uninspired and boring.

The band does try to make it interesting by adding diversity. But it's the moderate and slower parts that pull down. These parts drain the songs of energy and make it a snoozefest. However it profits the music when the band gear up a notch or two, but it's not enough to save me from boredom. The five-piece mix it all with some groovy bits. That does help a little.

The vocals are a mix of a death metal growl and black metal vocals. It's standard and doesn't really make things better or worse.

There are uplifting riffs and parts on "Putrescent Society" as well as the start of "Lashing and Contempt", but on the whole Ore Veritatis is about as standard as it gets, and it's the lack of energy that kills the music for my concern.
