The Greek death metal band Homo Iratus has a long history. Besides a few demos the band has put a couple of full-lengths and EP's. On Truth Conquers All the trio plays what I would say is death n' roll and not deathcore as the band states.

The music is full of thick, groovy parts and to some degree it reminds me a bit of Spit and Swallow era Konkhra although the Greeks go for a more laid back type of style. The music isn't fast at all. Sure the trio does change the tempo a little now and then, but the three-piece mostly rely on slow and thick grooves. It does get a bit boring in the long run and I miss more diversity in terms of the pace. Apart from that the music is okay.

The riffs are mostly good, although there's noting different about them. I like the thick and juicy production that the band has got. It adds a lot to the music and provides it with the coating it needs, but it's not quite enough to make it stay interesting. The four songs on Truth Conquers All is some sort of taster for the next full-length. It does promise okay, but I miss something that would really make me want to hear more.
