Yet another brutal death metal band from Italy and here I had gotten the impression that all Italian bands played power metal, but fortunately this is clearly not the case. Imposer play death metal as it was played back in the early nineties. The Italians appear somewhat influenced by Morbid Angel, but their style is a little more primitive than the Americans. Another band that also appear to have been an inspiration is Vader. The songs are varied, but most of the time they give it full throttle. Still Imposer is good at adding small things now and then like a short solo or something else. It all helps maintain the durability.
There's absolutely nothing here that hasn't already been done by a million other bands and the band is struck in all the familiar clichés both lyrically and musically, but Imposer succeed in making their music interesting and that's what matters. The production is kind of muddy and low. It does affect the music, but not in a catastrophic way. Overall Imposition Servant is a good effort that certainly will appeal to fans of nineties death metal.
