I'm not exactly sure whether Incineritor put this EP out by themselves or Skullbuster Records did it. Anyway that's a minor detail. The Italian trio bellow out four tracks on Morbid Iconoclasm. Musically there's nothing new under the sun. According to Incineritor's MySpace page they are inspired by bands like Immolation and Deicide. I really don't hear any those influences in the music.
The songs are more stripped down and simplistic which necessarily isn't a bad thing, but it has to be done the right way to be interesting and Incineritor don't quite succeed doing this. The songs are fairly diverse, but lacks a bit when it comes to catchiness and this is where the Italians fall short. The simplistic style work very well, but I miss hearing a solo or two to spice things up a little. Overall Morbid Iconoclasm is an alright effort, but I doubt it will go down in history as there is too little to remember.
