The Swedish four-piece Intestinal plays old school death metal. It's straight forward and in the vein of Dismember, Fleshcrawl and Paganizer. So the music is not very different from anything else and that is also where things do get a little boring after a while.

I don't mind that the music is conventional, but for it to be more than just another standard effort there need to be parts and riffs that are recognizable and there could have been more on Human Harvest. The song-writing is not the most diverse and the Swedes do rely too much on using the same riffs over and over. That does make some of the songs a bit too anonymous now and then, but songs like "Maggot Filled Flesh", "Licking a Dead Cunt" and "Skinripped Whore" does make a difference for the better.

The production is a bit muddy. Some things seem to drown and the music doesn't exactly profit from this. The guitars have very Dismember'ish feel them. It does fit the music, but does make it sound like so much else. Human Harvest is another run-of-the-mill old school death metal effort, but things could definitely be a lot worse than what the four-piece come up with on Human Harvest.
