This is not the new full-length Krisiun album! Bloodshed is made up of eight new tracks and four tracks from their long-out-of-print debut MCD Unmerciful Order. Somehow I'm not that impressed with the result there simply seem to be too much filler on it. Out of the eight new tracks the three of them is actually intros and outros so that it is a bit misleading and it doesn't help that they seem superfluous. But the five regular songs are pretty decent and show a more diverse and slower side of the band than we're used to. But there's no need to worry 'cause Krisiun haven't settled down so they are still a guarantee for ultra-violence. The four tracks from the Unmerciful Order MCD suffer under a rather poor sound but despite that they are still pretty decent and gives a good idea of how much Krisiun has evolved since.
Bloodshed is more of a fan orientated product than a regular release and the label does also point out that it will have a fan-friendly price of a mid-priced CD. So for the diehard Krisiun fan this is a must but if you're just looking to buy a new CD I would pass on this one.
