When I first heard the MP3 of "Pillage and Burn" available on Nuclear Blast I thought it sounded pretty weak, and that I had no need for the new Malevolent Creation album. But was I wrong or what!!

The Will to Kill is a showcase of pure brutality, and I must admit that this album is their best since The Ten Commandments and Retribution. It seems like Phil and Rob were spinning Slayer a lot in their cd-player when they wrote the music for The Will to Kill, 'cause there's lots of Slayer-like riffs going on here and that just makes it even more cool.

The production is very much like what you'll find on the newest Kataklysm CD Shadows and Dust, which is no coincidence 'cause the albums were both mixed by Kataklysm guitarist Jean-Francois Dagenais.
