On Deathville Mortalized play some utterly brutal, but very standard sounding goregrind. Generic or not the Russians do it really well. Imagine a mixture of Mortician, Hymen Holocaust and The Day Everything Became Nothing and you pretty much have and idea of how Mortalized sounds. The band try no new tricks whatsoever on Deathville, but nevertheless they've created a charming and diverse effort. The music varies from slow groove and pulsating riffing a la The Day Everything Became Nothing to hyperblast deathgore in the vein of Mortician. Another common thing is the ultra low growls.

Like most goregrind Deathville is also stuffed with plenty of bizarre samples snatched from various American low budget horror flicks and it work just the way it should. The production is fat and crisp. It fits the music just perfect and nothing appears to vanish in the soundscape. You get the expectable on Deathville and not much more, but that doesn't make it any less good. The Russians really have found a good balance in the music and this prevent Deathville from getting worn out right away. Fans of any of the abovementioned bands or goregrind in general should have no problem digesting Deathville at all.
