Next On The List was formed with the purpose of playing grindcore in the vein of Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Nasum and Misery Index. The result is a quite convincing mix of new and old grindcore. Like the aforementioned bands the Frenchmen also know how to vary the music. It's not a blastbeat contest from start to finish.

Tempo wise Next On The List have a lot in common with Misery Index. The songs also often have a sense of groove in them. This only adds positively to the soundscape. The Napalm Death references are also quite obvious at times and the band doesn't deny being fond of the Brits. The name of the unit is also the title of an Napalm Death song. Next On The List don't come up with anything unheard, but the quartet sure knows their musical preferences and that is what makes the music interesting. If the band continues as on Promo 2006 then I'm sure they eventually will ink a deal with a label.
