P.K.I.K.T. is a grindcore band from Vilnius, Lithuania. The five-piece play simplistic grindcore with hints of punk and thrash metal. The music is straight forward and above all there's really not much that set the music apart from so much else in the genre, but it's not a big problem.
The Lithuanians don't play super fast, at least not very often. Instead the music is mostly played at a slower rate, but that doesn't exactly mellow out things. The five-piece are able to give their music nerve. P.K.I.K.T. do grind a bit now and then and it add a nice contrast and help make the music diverse. The band has two vocalists, a female and a male. Of course it's difficult to tell the difference, but the two complement each other very well. The vocals vary from a shouting type of growl to a low end almost goregrind type of vocal. This differently works as an asset.
It's obvious that the five Lithuanians has been listening to Embalming Theatre and Napalm Death among others. It does wear of on the music, but in a good way. Something I do miss a bit is a few more catchy riffs and parts, as well as a more beefy production, but on the whole Mesmales Sukites Greitai is a nice effort that should appeal those who like some real underground music.
