Prostitute Disfigurement is one of the more unusual band names I've stumbled over in awhile, but don't get fooled by the bandname. There's nothing unusual about the music. It's all been heard a 1000 times before, but it doesn't make the music less good. The music is brutal death metal that does occasionally remind a bit about Cannibal Corpse's classic debut Eaten Back to Life. The songs are varied and not just the usual endless pummel. Here's no fancy samples to steal the attention from the music, just plain and guitar driven death metal the way it should be. A thing that I noticed right away is that the band unlike a lot of other bands have some catchy leads in almost every song and that really add a lot to the soundscape.

Left in Grisly Fashion doesn't really have any weaknesses music-wise, but "Body to Ravage", "Victims of the Absurd" and "Bloodlust Redemption" quickly appeared to be the best tracks, but the remaining song are worthwhile too. My only complaint about Left in Grisly Fashion is the production. It sounds a little too nice and thin for this kind of music. It might suit a thrash metal album, but not a death metal album of this calibre. Left in Grisly Fashion is a stellar effort that despite of being full of all the well-known clichés doesn't get boring even after multiply listens and that is what counts.
