Somehow I was under the impression that this was an regular CD so I was kind of astounded to find out that these eight tracks doesn't clock much more than 10 minutes, but don't let this fool you this MCD is a brutal round of death metal. The music is packed with odd samples and those add a very dim feeling. The music itself is quite varied and it's clear that Quest Of Aidance have control of what they are doing.
The band has found the right balance between being brutal and catchy so not at any point does it seem to get too much. Moreover the band is good at slowing down and changing gear so it doesn't just become one long blastbeat contest. Quest Of Aidance has a sound that reminds me a bit of their fellow countrymen in God Among Insects. This means a thick and rich sound. There's really not much to complain about here other than I wish the MCD would have been a little longer because clearly 10 minutes is not a lot.
