Revokation is a band from Leeds, England. The four-piece play death metal, but there's a bit of black metal and grindcore thrown in as well. It's not something that is too noticeable, but it's still enough to provide some contrast in the music. It's mostly present in the vocals, but also on a song like "Consumed by Delirium". Revokation doesn't come up with anything that hasn't already been done by other, but the four-piece do show some promising ideas. However I miss more riffs or other things that would make the music a little catchier than it is now.

There's a good amount of diversity in what the band is doing, but the songs needs a little bit extra before it gets really exciting. The production is a little too dry and thin for my taste. A beefier and more balanced sound would probably have made a difference for the better. As it is now the guitar tends to vanish among the drums and vocals. Overall The Unknown One is a standard sounding demo, but it's also an effort that shows some interesting ideas. However there's still some work to be done before it gets really interesting.
