As the title rightfully say The EP Years + Live Audio Terror is a collection of various split EP's that the German grindcore freaks have appeared on as well as 20 songs recorded live in Salzgitter, Germany during the 2004 edition of the Gods of Grind festival.
Here's really not much to find if you already have most of their material. Musically the collection quality-wise is a mixed bag of both good and bad. Songs like "Blinddarm ['99], "Maggotfarm" and "Patient Auf Toast" are alright while other tracks like "Slave", "Coil of Boils" and "Ballgamess With a Torn of Head" [live] border to the lame. Because it's from different recordings the sound differs a lot. It goes from being thin and flat to fat and punchy. The 20 songs from the live show in Salzgitter appear mostly as a noisy blur mainly thanks to Topsy's shouting vocals, but the music also sound thin and flat. Often the music is closer to sounding like hardcore than actual brutal grindcore.
If you're already a fan of the Germans and perhaps have most of their material then The EP Years + Live Audio Terror is not mandatory, but if you're new to the band then this compilation may be a good place to start as it gives a good idea of their past material.
