Servorum is a brutal death metal band from the Philippines. The band came together in 1998, but besides We Are Brutality it's limited what the five-piece have put out. The music is in the vein of Krisiun. It's all very conventional, but the band definitely have some interesting things going on and to some degree I like the music better than I like Krisiun.

The songs are mostly very fast, but also diverse. The riffs are good and I like that a solo or two pop up now and then, like on "Nuklear Holokaust". That and the song-writing in general make the music exciting. Something that on the other hand doesn't profit the music at all is the production. It's not very good to put It mildly. The sound is muddy, distorted and it feels like was recorded way too high. It doesn't do the music any justice at all.

It would be interesting to hear the songs with a proper production as I have no doubt that the music itself is good. We Are Brutality is a good effort in terms of the music, but a better production would definitely have made a big difference. Hopefully things will be better on the next CD as there is nothing wrong with the music.
