Right away I kind of got the feeling that this CD wouldn't be all that exciting, and I'm sorry to say that I wasn't wrong. Slave Zero fuse death metal with both of thrash and metalcore - there are bits and pieces that work alright, but most of it is tedious.

It's above all the shouting type of vocals that spoils things. These are annoying and are too metalcore-like. It works better with the standard growl, but it's not enough to make up for the aforementioned. Another thing that doesn't profit the music is the lack of diversity in the pace. Slave Zero more or less limits the tempo to the moderate or slower slam-like parts. This gets tiring as there isn't all that much variation in the music to start with. It feels like many of the songs are written after the same blueprint.

No matter how much I try I can not find anything on Exempt From All Tolerance that is remotely interesting. Okay, there is a good riff or two now and then, but nothing that prevents the music from being a numbing experience.
