Death metal Mortician style - that is how this French trio categorizes their style. That description is actually quite fitting. As expected the songs are naturally full of samples snatched from various horror flicks. It works well with these samples, but it's annoying that volume between the actual music and the samples differs a lot. The vocals are also placed far too high in the mix and they tend to make the guitar disappear a bit in the soundscape. I know this is a demo, but a far better production would have been preferable. The guitarwork is pretty solid and the programmed drums work very well too. It's just a shame that most of the details vanish thanks to the muddy sound.

The music is no different from so much else in the vein of Mortician or Brodequin, but I like the gimmick and imagery of Sodomy Torture. Five in score may be in the lower end, but the poor production spoils a lot of the experience. A better sound and Sodomy Torture could become a very interesting encounter.
