I'm not exactly sure if this is a re-release or not, but the Against Terrorism 7" EP from Japanese grindcore mongers Unholy Grave was recorded back in 2001 and is inspired by the terrorist attack on World Trade Centre. The music is okay, but what annoy me about this release is the vocals which is far too shouting and noisy for my taste. Actually they take too much room up in the soundscape and that's a shame 'cause the music itself is actually pretty good though I find it a bit too rough sound-wise, but that of course has a lot to do with the production, which leaves a lot to be desired. It's far too messy and muddy in my opinion and that really pulls down, but I guess this is how it's supposed to sound even though it doesn't change the aforementioned fact. None of the songs really seem better or worse than the other and honestly I didn't find any of it particular worthwhile, but I guess this 7" EP is a good place to start if you want to find out whether you like the band or not. So if you have a few bucks to spare and you want to check out some filthy Japanese grindcore then this may be an the place to start.
