To Live A Lie Three Year Sampler is a compilation from American To Live A Lie Records that consist of bands that the label has worked with at some point. The genres found here are everything from grindcore and punk to crust and hardcore. Thankfully there's a good amount of grindcore on the sampler and that is also what I enjoy the most about it. As with most compilations there's both good and bad songs. It's not that different on To Live A Lie Three Year Sampler, but above all the quality of the music is not too bad - there's nothing that is a complete turn off.

Bands like Agathocles, Mesrine and P.L.F. are among the most interesting, but some of the more hardcore, punk and crust inspired bands are not that bad either. The choice of bands and genres make the compilation a diverse effort. All the songs have previously been put out on To Live A Lie Records, but many have been out of print for some time. To Live A Lie Three Year Sampler is definitely not mainstream so if you're interested in what moves in the underground then this is not the worst place to look.
