Virulency is a Spanish trio. The two songs on Promo 2011 is a taster of the Spaniards upcoming EP. The band plays brutal death metal in the vein of Disgorge, Putridity and Devourment.

It's difficult to have an opinion about the music based on just two songs, but I think Virulency does a good job on Promo 2011. Although there's nothing different at all in what the trio is doing. It's all been done and heard before, but that of course doesn't necessarily make the music less good.

The songs have groove, slam parts as well as some faster parts so the threesome relies on all the clichés of the genre. The vocals are of course low end growls. I think the two songs on Promo 2011 promise well for what next to come. So if you like your music brutal then Virulency isn't a better or worse than what else is out there.
